Forss is the High Coast

We are located by a bay in Köpmanholmen, in the heart of the High Coast. Köpmanholmen is an old industrial town, where sawn timber and paper have been produced for a long time. The old company Forss AB was founded in 1877 and as early as 1908 Forss AB patented a manufacturing method for the production of food alcohol made from cellulose, so-called "Taffelbrännvin". "Taffelbrännvin". In other words, we are not the first spirit producers in Köpmanholmen.

Our ambition is to build on that tradition and the already strong link between the High Coast and good drinks. We want to help create a beverage centre in Köpmanholmen together with other producers and culinary craftsmen.
