Lihnell's Distillery, or Bergslagens Destilleri as we used to be called, is a small family-owned distillery now located at Hjälmarsberg Säteri. An ancient old farm dating back to the 16th century, surrounded by lush fields, near the beautiful lake Hjälmaren, it is just a stone's throw from central Örebro. Here we produce whisky, gin, rum and schnapps, and have been active in the industry since 2009.

At Lihnell's Distillery, craftsmanship and quality take centre stage. There are many ways to make whisky and gin. We love to experiment with flavours, we do this wholeheartedly and don't stop until we feel the taste is perfect, the way we want it. With a wide range of different types of casks, we have a wide spice rack to work from.

We make an elegant and full-bodied newmake that has a fruity and sweet flavour with notes of toffee and pear. For us, it's important that a newmake tastes very clean, but it must not lose its personality and body.

Our gin is made from Swedish wheat spirit and carefully selected spices, herbs and berries of high quality.
