Hven Destilleri, also known as Spirit of Hven, is an award-winning micro-distillery located on the scenic island of Hven in the middle of the Öresund, between Skåne and Själland. It was founded in 2008 by Henric and Anja Molin and has since become internationally recognised for its organic and artisanal production of high-quality spirits. The distillery mainly produces whisky, but also gin, vodka and aquavit of high class.
What makes Hven unique is that the entire production chain - from malting the barley to distilling, maturing and bottling - takes place on site. They use small copper pot stills and age their whisky in carefully selected casks, giving each bottle a distinct character. Production is in small volumes with a strong focus on quality, innovation and sustainability.
Hven Distillery is also a popular destination. It offers guided tours, tastings and the opportunity to stay and eat at the nearby hotel and restaurant.
