The distillery is located in a charming little red cottage just in front of Wenngarn Castle, just outside Sweden's oldest town, Sigtuna. After a thousand years of history, from the first king to the first saint and the first coin, First Distillery has created First Gin!

As early as the 19th century, the cottage was used as a distillery, where the servants of the castle were paid part of their salary in the form of booze. In the 20th century, when Wenngarn's glory days were over, the area paradoxically served as an institution to help those struggling with alcoholism. Over the past 10 years, Wenngarn has been transformed into a thriving modern village community with cafés, shops and restaurants. A perfect day trip between Stockholm and Uppsala. 

At the heart of this historic site, First Distillery Sigtuna takes over and makes world-class gin. With a passion for craftsmanship and a desire to honour the past, we use organic ingredients and traditional distilling methods to create our gin.
