Aplagården

In front of the farmhouse in the courtyard stands an old grapevine that was planted around the end of World War II.
The grapevine and our old apple trees came to the farm from a nearby nursery in exchange for meat and vegetables.
In the fall of 2006, it bore an incredible amount of grapes. Quite suddenly and without much thought, the idea arose to plant grapevines on a patch of unused land here on the farm. In May 2008, the first vines—consisting of Solaris and Rondo—were planted. Over time, the vineyard was expanded with Johanniter, Cabernet Cortis, and more Solaris.
Aplagården’s winery is a commercial vineyard, currently with around 12,000 vines. But, as they say, “size doesn’t matter.” Our wines have been recognized multiple times at international wine competitions.
We are not currently a commercial winery and are therefore not permitted to sell our wines.
