Boge Bränneri

Boge Bränneri is a small-scale distillery located in Boge, just outside Slite on Gotland. The business was founded in 2019 by four friends who, despite their different backgrounds, were united by a strong interest in artisanal spirits. With great care, they produce spirits from fruits, berries, and grains, focusing on flavor, tradition, and the natural characteristics of the raw ingredients. Inspiration is often drawn from older Swedish aquavit literature and historical recipes, creating a clear connection to Swedish beverage traditions and Gotlandic craftsmanship.

Production takes place in small, handcrafted copper stills, where each distillation is carried out on a limited scale to ensure high quality and a well-balanced flavor profile. Craftsmanship permeates the entire process—from distillation to bottling—and many of the beverages are based on seasonal local ingredients. The range of fruit and berry distillates therefore changes naturally throughout the year in step with the shifts of nature.

Interacting with visitors and sharing stories about the products is a central part of the business. Boge Bränneri offers tours and tastings where guests can learn about the craft of distillation, the history of Swedish aquavit, and the philosophy behind the farm’s products. The experience combines knowledge, history, and flavor in an authentic Gotland setting where tradition meets modern creativity.
