Forss is the High Coast
We are located next to a bay in Köpmanholmen, in the heart of the High Coast. Köpmanholmen is an old industrial town where sawn timber and paper have been produced for a long time. The old company Forss AB was founded in 1877, and as early as 1908, Forss AB patented a manufacturing method for producing food-grade alcohol made from cellulose, known as “Taffelbrännvin.” In other words, we are not the first spirits producers in Köpmanholmen.
Our ambition is to build on that tradition and the already strong connection between the High Coast and fine beverages. We want to help create a beverage hub in Köpmanholmen together with other producers and culinary artisans.
