Soil health has always been a priority for this land, so the vines have never been treated with chemicals or fertilizers.
The vineyard was planted in 2009 with 8 different grape varieties, primarily hybrids. Our work with the vines focuses on promoting biodiversity and the vineyard’s holistic balance by increasing organic matter and fostering microbial activity.
During the growing season, we treat the vines with herbal teas and microbial fermentation to strengthen their immune systems. Fertilizers always come from natural sources such as local highland cattle manure, brown algae, compost teas, etc.
