Lihnell´s Distillery

Lihnell’s Distillery, formerly known as Bergslagens Destilleri, is a small family-owned distillery now located at Hjälmarsberg Säteri. A historic old estate dating back to the 16th century, surrounded by lush fields and situated near the beautiful Lake Hjälmaren, it’s just a stone’s throw from downtown Örebro. Here we produce whiskey, gin, rum, and schnapps, and have been active in the industry since 2009.
At Lihnell’s Distillery, craftsmanship and quality are at the heart of everything we do. There are many ways to make whiskey and gin. We love experimenting with flavors; we do this wholeheartedly and aren’t satisfied until we feel the taste is perfect, just the way we want it. With a wide range of different types of barrels, we have a broad palette of flavors to work with.
We produce an elegant and full-bodied newmake with a fruity and sweet flavor featuring notes of toffee and pear. For us, it’s important that a newmake tastes very clean, but it mustn’t lose its personality or body.
Our gin is made from Swedish wheat spirit and carefully selected, high-quality spices, herbs, and berries.
