Lule River Distillery

Lule River Distillery is a small-scale distillery located on the Lule River in Luleå, Norrbotten County. It was founded in the spring of 2021 by three friends—Jesper Töyrä, Peter Olsson, and Johan Lugnet—driven by a passion for locally produced beverages and craftsmanship, as well as a curiosity about the flavors and characteristics of different products.
Their ambition has been to experiment with ingredients from the Norrbotten countryside—the result is unique botanical combinations in their gin.
The partnership with Bottenvikens Bryggeri
In late 2022, Lule River Distillery became part of Bottenvikens Bryggeri, an established craft brewery in Luleå, which contributes infrastructure, expertise, and distribution capabilities. The founders remain active but in a redefined role.
