Nås Bränneri

Nås Distillery is located in the deep forests of Dalarna, in the village of Nås. Here you’ll find wolves, sandy soil, and folklore in the form of tales about all the creatures of the forest. There’s also something of a tradition of drinking here. This is due not only to the soft water but also to a man named Päär.

An artistic soul with a passion for beauty. Päär was our neighbor for many years, and we were often inspired by the creative joy that existed at the “neighboring farm.” When Päär gave us the chance to take over his old farm, it felt like a no-brainer: Here, in Nås, we would build a family distillery with the ambition of creating Sweden’s finest spirits.

We share a passion for craftsmanship and decided early on that we would do this together as a family. To build our own production facility, have full control over the creative process, and experiment with new ways to use local ingredients—all to give our products a distinctive character and carry the tradition into the future.
