Qvänum

Qvänum is the brewery and distillery that has been housed in the barn at Gategården, right in the heart of the Varaslätten plain, since 2004. The farm is located in the old village of Badene, which dates back to the 6th century.
We brew and distill with a focus on food! Our passion for good food and drink has followed us into the brewery and distillery. We work closely with our customers to find the perfect pairing of food and drink.
At Qvänum, beer and schnapps are produced using traditional, sustainable methods with a focus on local ingredients. All electricity comes from solar, wind, and hydro power! The brewery and distillery are heated with biofuel. We source as many ingredients as possible—such as grains, malt, and hops—from the local area, and most of them are organic. We use no additives, and the water comes from our own well.
