Rudenstams Bär & Frukt

In Skärstadalen, also known as Äppledalen, along the eastern slopes of Lake Vättern, fruit has been grown since the 1930s. Here in Äppledalen is Rudenstams Bär & Frukt. Thanks to the unique climate and the location of the orchards, the area is known as “Småland’s Tuscany” and “Äppledalen.” The deep waters of Lake Vättern warm up slowly, thereby delaying the arrival of spring, while also retaining the summer heat well into the fall before cooling down. This results in a stable climate that is ideal for fruit cultivation.
Fruit has been grown at Rudu Ödegård since 1942. Today, the fifth generation of the Rudenstam family runs the farm.
