New rule for microbreweries

Starting in June 2025, Sweden will allow microbreweries to sell beverages on-site to visitors. This marks a relaxation of the strict alcohol sales regulations that have been in place since 1955.
Visitors must be participating in a paid tour before making a purchase, and there are limits on how much can be purchased; for beer, the maximum is 3 liters per person. The legal drinking age for beer in Sweden is 20.
Smedsbo Slott will, of course, try this new sales channel! Our products will be available to visitors at our tastings and during the three days of Slånkvicku when we are open to the public.
