Former architect Jeppe Appelin went completely against the “Solaris trend” when he decided to make red, rosé, and orange wines, instead of just white.
And he certainly thought Swedish politicians would have given a resounding YES to farm sales once he planted his first vines in Vejbystrand. So he stacked his bottles high, but no “YES” was heard.
Nowadays, he’s been popping the bottles at wine tastings he holds every day, complete with a beret and plenty of chatter between the aromas and the sips.
You can either book a wine tasting with a guided tour of the estate, or drop in during open hours to enjoy wines by the glass at Jeppe’s little wine bar.
